CurrentCost for United States?
Aug 14 2009, 12:28 PM EDT
I have looked at a lot of home energy monitors and the UK models generally look much better than what has been generally available in the US. I tried to buy the CurrentCost (both eBay and Amazon.com UK) and was not able to ship to US. I could use an adapter to change the plug so I think it could probably work for me with possibly an additional sensor cable. Anyone ever try to use in USA? Any luck or advice? The Meters are designed for 230 volt 50 HZ, so will read incorrectly in the US.There doesnt appear to be any option to tell the meter that its operating on a differant voltage / frequency range. Do you find this valuable? |

Many US houses have a 220v supply from the street (used for washing machines and stoves/cookers) so it may be possible to use a currentcost there.
